Spatial Informatics Group(SIG) is a company that deals with data at a global scale. They turn our natural world into analytics to better predict and determine climate solutions. They wanted new branding that could speak to all of the areas that they research while holding true to the techincal aspect of their work.
The new branding reflects that with a nod to charts and line graphs created from elements (geology, land, agriculture, water, and fire). The imagery used is via drone and satellite and is meant to show the magnitude of the scale in which they work. The tone of the brand is approachable, yet knowledgeable. So, the colors are more muted and can be easily reproduced with soy-based inks. The voice takes on a lighter tone in advertising and speaks to how SIG translates the data into an easy to understand package.
